Knowledge base is very important to solve problems. TeamKB is an add-in to your Microsoft outlook that helps you to build your knowledge repository and share the best practices, solutions to common problem etc. with others.
Features: The application has a nice self explanatory menu. It allows you to perform setting for author`s list, problem list, notification options etc. You can navigate to publish article and pending article. You can create you article and publish them. Publish article is the most important folder where all the published articles are available and it is the most visited and used TeamKB folder. Any new article, either created manually or generated from out of an email would be finally published here.
The application has very nice features like articles are stored in your exchange server so no database is required, Centralize sharing of knowledge and documents, has search option to easily get the information, set email alerts for new KB articles are posted. You can grant / deny folder permissions to the articles. Application has a built-in word editor, embed images and any number of file attachments functionality. You can email article in DOC, MHT, PDF or XPS document format. You can get many more benefits like improved customer support, extending the Knowledge base to your customers, utilizes existing IT skills with minimal need for re-training.
Overall: This is a nice utility to share your knowledge with other and make use of it to improve efficiency. It is very useful to support team.
